This upcoming mixed-methods study will explore how individuals perceive and interact with AI-driven mental health technologies, such as digital wellness apps and therapeutic chatbots. Through surveys and guided app testing, the project will assess user trust, concerns, and willingness to engage with AI tools for emotional and spiritual support. Special attention will be paid to demographic, cultural, and religious factors that shape acceptance or hesitation. Findings will directly guide the HOPE App’s design, onboarding experience, and community outreach, ensuring the platform is intuitive, trustworthy, and aligned with user values.
